Condition of hardcover binding: Wear, age toning, soiling (a few small stains to bottom of back cover), and rubbing. Light bumps to extremities, two corners bumped. Spine (paper) mostly cracked/torn. Minor cracking of hinges. Offsetting to free endpapers. Bump to top corner of text block. Pages are in very good condition with clear readable text and beautiful illustrations throughout. Free of old damp, musty smell or the smell of a smoker. Fold-out map (laid in) condition: One side has short tears/chips/curling of paper. Overall, creases from use; age toning. Virtually all of the map of old West Point is readable. Here is a wonderful, historical, uncommon book addressing Robert E. Lee at West Point. Very collectible.
