These "talks" first appeared in The Delineator under the pen-name Priscilla Wakefield. This book is a collection of 35 of those talks with the aim of self improvement. Ex-lib, but you can hardly tell - no exterior markings and only a library name stamp on title page. Blue cloth exterior with title in silver on front cover and spine plus a paste-down graphic of (presumably) an ideal modern girl reading a book. Interior is unmarked, tight and clean.

This wa the only book publication of her work; the title poem was published in 1857 in the Springfield Rupublican newspaper was idely reprinted around the country.

Mrs. Dull was the editor of the Home Economics page in the Atlanta Journal and cooking school instructor. The first edition and this 1941 edition have become fairly scarce.
