Dark red cloth covered boards with narrow blind-stamped border around edges of front panel; gilt-stamped lettering and graphics on spine. Crimping on corners at head and tail of board spine. Bumps and scuffs on lower fore-edge corners. Tan-tinting on upper external page edges now appears dusty. Light foxing on all external edges. End-papers have faint shadow-transfers and minimal foxing around edges. Text pages are age-toned. Text block is solid. Dust jacket of pale green paper with darker green lettering. Dust jacket is soiled overall and with stains on front panel, spine and upper edge of inside front flap. Extremities are sunned. Loss from chips across head of jacket spine; rubs and smaller chips along lower edge at tail of spine. All folds are creased and scuffed; all fore-edge corners have loss from rubs or closed tears. Lower left corner of back jacket panel has a 3/8" by 1/4" loss with an adjacent 5/8" closed vertical tear; tear has several adjacent diagonal creases to the lower edge and a 1/4" closed vertical tears. Lower edge of back jacket panel has several penciled erasures. Upper edges, including those on inside flaps, have small chips, rubs and tiny closed tears and shallow horizontal creases.
