There are numerous refe…rences in the text to Ian Fleming. Muir helped Fleming to assemble his book collection with the theme 'milestones of human progress'. Percy Muir later said of his part in the formation of Fleming's collection that it was amongst the proudest achievements of his life. In 1952 Ian Fleming, Percy Muir and John Hayward (associate and muse of T.S. Eliot) jointly founded The Book Collector, a British antiquarian quarterly and Percy Muir was a regular contributor. One of the best bookseller autobiographies. Furthermore, Muir charmingly appears as British agent Muir, head of Station Z (Zurich) in On Her Majesty's Secret Service (Cape, 1963), whose signal room is hidden behind a book-lined wall. Inscribed copies are quite uncommon in our experience. Fleming inscribed a famous first edition of "Casino Royale" to Percy Muir. Photographs/scans available upon request. Signed by Author.
