Decorative gilt stamp to front and spine outlining illustrated paste on labels, illustrated endpapers. The text block of the book has sagged so there i…s slight wear to the bottom edge. There is also minor soiling to the jacket, which overall if VG.This gorgeous deluxe reprint edition of the Covici Friede Canterbury Tales is both beautifully bound and illustrated. Don't let the copyright page confuse things - this is published by Garden City. This is a really beautiful book and it's hard to convey its aesthetic impact with words and pictures.
