Aggiungi al carrelloHardcover. Condizione: Fine.

Aggiungi al carrelloCondizione: as new. Foreword by Gregory Galligan. Edited by Nadine Barth. Berlin : Hatje Cantz, [2021]. Hardcover. 160 pp. Illustrations (mostly color). 31 cm. - What happens when street photography, conceptual art, and documentation are combined? The result is a unique panorama of images, whose versatility allows it to capture the sometimes abysmal, sometimes dazzling multiple facets of Bangkok. The photographer Peter Nitsch has captured the streets, people, and life in the Thai capital with his sensitive feel for the right moment and the special detail. This illustrated book turns readers into companions on his visual tour of discovery. Nitsch's camera makes us see the city's rhythm as a tango, which owes its idiosyncratic movement to the interaction of different cultures. A comparison that not only rhymes with mango (Bangkok's nickname) but also translates the sweet and sour taste of the fruit into visual intoxication. Condition : as new copy. ISBN 9783775748247. Z : 16 x 21,5 cm, 456 pages, with 100 black/white images - Andy Warhol, Susan Sontag, John Lennon & Yoko Ono Jonas Mekas was well acquainted with a great many New York artists. Born in Lithuania, he came to Brooklyn via Germany in 1949 and began shooting his first experimental films there. Mekas developed a form of film diary in which he recorded his daily observations. He became the barometer of the New York art scene and a pioneer of American avant-garde cinema. Every week, starting in 1958 he published his legendary »Movie Journal« column in the Village Voice, writing on a range of subjects that were by no means restricted to the world of film. He conducted numerous interviews with artists, some of which will now appear for the first time in his Scrapbook of a Sixties. The book contains published and unpublished texts that reveal Mekas as a thoughtful diarist and an unparalleled chronicler of the day a phenomenon that has continued now for over fifty years.

Aggiungi al carrelloHardcover. Condizione: Sehr gut. 1. Auflage.
