This book an annotated re-issue of Francis Place s 1822 Illustrations and Proofs of the Principles of Population . This first edition was signed over to a colleague at Colgate University via a note on the overleaf, which reads To Robbie from Norman, April 1955, and it was treated gently in the recipient s personal collection ever since. A hardcover book in blue cloth with gold lettering, it has a few exterior stains and a slightly mottled edge on the front cover, and is otherwise in excellent condition. The binding, pages, hinges and joints are strong and clean. Inscribed by Author(s).
