The slipcase box it comes in is less healthy, being slightly bumped and with the spine slightly loose. Despite this it is colourfully illustrated and speaks of the heroines "gravity-prone panties". Every phrase that I think of to follow this quotes ticks the inappropriate box.

Jane was first published by Norman Pett, on 5 December 1932 as Jane's Journal - The Diary of a Bright Young Thing, Pett drew her until 1948. Mike Hubbard began assisting Pett in 1946, and succeeded Pett. Originally Pett's wife Mary modelled for him, but in the late 1930s, she abandoned modelling in pursuit of golf. Pett then teamed up with Chrystabel Leighton-Porter whom he met while she was modeling for a class in Birmingham in 1939].
