The spine strip is missing; the pages are heavily foxed; there is an old library pocket with card on the first pastedown; a gathering of pages (pp. 219-238) is detached but present; overall, condition is only fair. The joints are cracking but holding, and there is some staining of the preliminary pages. Overall, this book is in good condition. This edition is considerably enlarged (compared to the editions of 1786 and 1792), but does not contain any illustrations.
