Very good with very good dust jacket and a laid in facsimile folded map in fine condition. Dust jacket is lightly bumped along top edges. 416 pages plus 75 illustrations and a 45 page index done in 1934.

Softcover. First Edition; First Printing. Wraps, very good-, with old vertical folds, some evidence of tape removal near the spine on front and back wraps. Sherwood, a Texan member of the Legislature, was driven from his post by secessionists. A few notes at the bottom margin of pg. 30. written in pencil by Henry O'Reilly, who also had printed a positive note on the characters of both Sherwood and Bloodwood. 'A Night with Jupiter and Other Fantasies' is one of the Bleiler-listed strange tales. Bleiler is particularly struck by 'White Rabbits' which he describes as a 'creepy little tale' about a couple who feed rabbits rotten meat and then eat them.…
