When Marsh and Rippingale first published this book in 1964 the Conidae had not been extensively covered since 1884 and so it was a seminal work. This is a nice copy printed in 1968, unfortunately the dust jacket is missing but the book itself is in very good condition. The cover is… only a little bumped at the front top corner, otherwise very good. Inside there is a mark on the front free endpaper where a sticker has been removed, and there is a little bit of tanning on the pages but it is very even, apart from which the pages are clean and unmarked throughout. The full page colour plates are really beautiful. O. H. Rippingale (illustratore).

Unfortunately this has affected about half the plates. The red on the top edge is also somewhat mottled but does not affect the faces of the pages. The spine and covers are in superb condition. A classic volume in the field of Queensland conchology and seldom seen in its limited edition. Size: 4to. Signed by Authors.
