CONDITION: This book is in overall "very good" condition, with some rubbing and wear to the cover and spine, and corners are slightly bumped. Some discoloration spots and scratching on all edges. Endpages are in a light green color, and show discoloration. Leaves have evenly toned with only a small amount of foxing, primarily found within the front and back flypapers. Some foxing on the title page. With the exception of a previous owner's name written in ink on the front pastedown, this book is completely free from marginalia, annotations or creasing. Some places within the gutter show exposed stitching, (between pages 230-231), yet the binding is sound and pagination is complete. A fascinating, solid, and beautiful copy.
