Sherwood, a Texan member of the Legislature, was driven from his post by secessionists. A few notes at the bottom margin of pg. 30. written in pencil by Henry O'Reilly, who also had printed a positive note on the characters of both Sherwood and Bloodwood. He also had pencilled on the front cover, a note referring to his statement in the rear of the pamphlet. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 31 pp.

'A Night with Jupiter and Other Fantasies' is one of the Bleiler-listed strange tales. Bleiler is particularly struck by 'White Rabbits' which he describes as a 'creepy little tale' about a couple who feed rabbits rotten meat and then eat them.
