Enthält u.a. Gedichte aus den Sammlungen "Die Schande" (1920 verfasst und 1922 im Verlag Die Aktion von Franz Pfemfert erstmals in einer von George Grosz illustrierten Ausgabe erschienen; das sind die "Gedichte eines dienstpflichtigen Soldaten aus der Mordsaison 1914-18"), "Steh auf, Prolet!" (1922) und "Straße frei" (1928) sowie Artikel aus "Die Aktion" (Franz Pfemfert) und Stimmen der Zeitgenossen Ernst Friedrich, Kurt Tucholsky, Erich Mühsam, Wieland Herzfelde, James Broh, Johannes Robert Becher. Oskar Kanehl gehörte der rätekommunistischen AAUE (Allgemeinen Arbeiter Einheitsorganisation Einheitsfront) und vor allem dem Kreis um die expressionistische und später rätekommunistische Zeitschrift "Aktion" an. Er war ein fester Mitarbeiter und Freund Franz Pfemferts, der diese wichtige Zeitschrift 1911 begründete und bis zum seinem erzwungenen Exil durchhielt. Da Kanehl bereits 1929 starb, wird er weder als Naziopfer noch als Exil-Schriftsteller neu entdeckt und ist weithin vergessen. Gramm 200.
