The book features documentation of the building during both its early and later phases and draws together two important areas of Le Corbusier's work: his Modernist interpretations of ecclesiastical architecture (though the building will no longer function as a church) and his approach to town planning. The catalogue seeks to convey the experience of visiting the structure while also examining the creative interplay of Le Corbusier's and Oubrerie's ideas in its design.
