Aggiungi al carrelloVjschr. Naturf. Ges. Zürich, 40. - Zürich, Zürchrt & Furrer, 1895, 8°, 43 pp., orig. Broschur.; Mit eigenhändiger Widmung "Herrn Prof. Dr. G. Bunge hochachtungsvollst" Ueberreicht vom Verfasser. Seltener Sonderabdruck!

-cf. Pasch Charles Ernst Overton (1865-1933) developed the lipid theory of narcosis". Ernest Overton, one of the pioneers in lipid membrane research, put forward the first comprehensive theory of lipid membrane structure. His most quoted paper on the osmotic properties of cells laid the foundation for the modern concepts of membrane function, most notably important in anaesthesia. "Ernest Overton, professor of pharmacology, was famous for his revolutionary theories regarding the structure and lipid properties of the cell membrane and on the mechanism underlying narcosis. However, Overton had died before I started my medical studies, and Thunberg was already emeritus at that time. Sadly Overton became mentally ill in his later life; he was said to propose himself repeatedly for the Nobel Prize, which he like Thunberg certainly deserved but did not get". - Arvid Carlsson Garrsion & Morton No. 5688; - siehe ausführlich L.Brandt, Ill.
