Condizione: Good. No Edition Remarks. 62 pages. No dust jacket. Paper covered boards. Black and white photographs and illustrations throughout. Colour frontispiece by Florence Hardy. Pages with some foxing and tanning, particularly to endpapers and textblock edges. Some cracking to gutters with exposed netting. Binding loose. Previous owner's name to front pastedown. Cover has heavy shelf wear with some bumping to corners and fraying to spine ends. Some scuffing and marking to surfaces. Boards are slightly bowed.

Blue/buff and Green/Buff illustrations throughout. Two tri-tone colour illustrations. Thick cardboard pages. First story is "The Boy who Wouldn't Get Up" 127 pages of stories and .poems for younger children of the time. Book.

No Binding. Condizione: Near Fine. Violet Moore Wiggins (illustratore). The center section contains a story with about a dozen fairy tale & rhyme characters portrayed by black children, old style with exagerated facial features. These are in the middle of the book, front and rear have typical stories with all white characters. Were they semi-hidden on purpose? Good condition with most of the spine missing, contents are average VG to near fine printed on typical cheap paper, usual for most of the Saalfield Co. books. Quite scarce. Not in Bader or Baumgarten, not on worldcat.

The spine is red cloth with black titles. The cover is rubbed on all extremities soiled and the corners are somewhat chipped. The edge of the textblock is foxed and chipped. Frontispiece and one full page picture are loose. Two pop ups, one in good condition and one that has all its original pieces but need to be repaired. The pages are age-toned and lightly soiled. Closed tears on the edges of some pages. The binding is cracked and pulling away from the spine. **Over sized book. Extra shipping may be required**.
