En 4º menor (204 x 135)mm. 130 pp. dos grafías, una de gran perfección de un buen pendolista, como para darlo a la imprenta, y otro más personal, posiblemente de la mano del propio Olavide. Pergamino antiguo. Manuscrito original de esta obra que permaneció inédita de Pablo de Olavide (Lima 1725 - Baeza 1803), escrita con gran autoridad en la materia; en ella se traza la figura del "bracero andaluz". Olavide desarrolló exitosas empresas de colonización en España conocidas como las Nuevas Poblaciones de Andalucía y Sierra Morena. Amigo de Voltaire, Diderot y Jovellanos, fue incorporado en tareas de gobierno gracias a Campomanes y en 1767, gracias al reconocimiento que obtuvo de la España ilustrada, es nombrado alcalde de Madrid. Carlos III le encomendará los proyectos de colonización en diversas zonas del sur de España, siendo nombrado Intendente de Sevilla y del Ejército de Andalucía y Superintendente de las Nuevas Poblaciones de Sierra Morena y Andalucía. Con este nuevo cargo comienza a planificar una reforma al modelo del despotismo ilustrado en el comercio, los asentamientos, la defensa y promoción de la cultura, abriendo la primera escuela de arte dramático de España y la desposesión de privilegios, con la reorganización de algunas zonas urbanas de la ciudad. Fue juzgado y procesado por la Inquisición, que lo condenó a la pena de destierro. El manuscrito se publicó en 1956 y posteriormente reeditado en 1996. "El informe es, en la actualidad, un documento de consulta obligado para todo historiador que estudie la agricultura andaluza del setecientos".
