It is a 'new, capacious and very necessary addition to our metropolitan Hospitals'. 'I purpose', he announces, 'to preside at a Public Dinner which is to be held at the London Pavent on Wednesday the 15th of my next in commemoration of that event'. Asks if the recipient might consider acting as a steward at the dinner ('no liability wil attach to the Office of Steward, and the Dinner Tickets will be only one guinea each'), and for any reply to be addressed to him at the hospital.…

P Becker's Patent Process Dated 1850, this is a large folding Hand Coloured linen backed map by George Oakley Lucas, it is dissected into 60 panels, measuring 48 inches by 48 inches approx. (122cm by 122cm approx.) of the borough of Marylebone in London. The map takes in Highgate, Kentish Town, Camden Town, Regent's Park, Parts of Kensington, Primrose Hill, etc, and is substantially different to the map of the area he produced in 1847 the map folds down and is housed in an old cloth slipcase with leather spine measuring 8.5 inches tall approx. (21cm approx.) CONDITION The map case has general rubbing wear, noticeable surface wear to the leather else in good solid condition, the map has a small stamp to lower right corner and to the maps reverse. Small red stains to lower right corner, creasing to two lower edge panels, with some browning marks else in nice general condition.…
