Billberg och utgavs i häften på samma sätt som den tidigare påbörjade "Svensk botanik". Under Palmstruchs ledning utkom de första nio häftena, fram till dennes död 1811. Häfte 10, 11 och 12 utkom 1813, 1818 respektive 1825. På andra delens titelblad står dock 1809. Conrad Quensel skrev de första texterna men avled under utgivningens första år och uppgiften övertogs av Olof Swartz. this is a very rare copy with uncoloured etchings. Additional photos on request.
