"In 1975 Andreas bought the financially troubled Architectural Design (AD) magazine, and in 1977 published Charles Jencks's The Language of Post-Modern Architecture, which went through six editions. Jencks served as the entrée to a wealth of architectural talent in America and Japan as well as Britain. Both Architectural Design and Academy Editions continued to publish Post-Modern, Classical and Deconstructivist projects throughout the 1980s.In 1990, Academy Group Ltd., along with Architectural Design and associated journals (Architectural Monographs, Art and Design and the Journal of Philosophy and the Visual Arts), was sold to VCH Germany." Paperback. Condizione: Good. THERE ARE NO TARIFFS OR CUSTOMS DUTIES ON BOOKS. An outsize book that was judged on the submissions of various students of architecture. This survey of British architecture was based on the response to the 1982 Architectural Design Project awards. The jury's selection is featured in full together with a number of other entries. The book has been read, but is in good condition. Some bumps and creases are evident on the covers e.g. scuff marks and creasing but no holes or tears. Binding has minimal wear. The pages are undamaged but may have some slight creasing but this is negligible. It is clean and bright inside with a little wear to edges and corners. No highlighting of text, no writing in the margins, and no missing pages. It contains some beautiful colour and black and white images. There is an owner mark on the endpaper.
