Worked as both a composer of marches and descriptive pieces a publisher who marketed his own music. He wasn't just writing music—he was building a brand. The Real Innovation: Sheet Music as Spectacle What made Paull famous wasn't just the music—it was the presentation. His sheet music featured: large, colorful lithographed covers dramatic scenes (battles, explosions, heroic moments) bold typography These covers were designed to: grab attention in shop windows and drive sales In many cases, the cover art was as important as the music itself.
