Contém análises das principais culturas e produções (como açúcar, algodão, chá) e quadros estatísticos. António Pedro Muralha (Beja 1878 - Lisboa 1946). Começou a trabalhar como impressor tipográfico e fez-se jornalista e escritor. Conheceu a redação de O Século, onde redigiu artigos centrados nas questões do trabalho e do movimento associativo, que lhe trouxeram prestígio; colaborou também com o Diário de Notícias, a Capital e foi diretor do diário socialista A Vanguarda (1913-1922), onde desenvolveu violentas campanhas políticas; fundou e dirigiu o Jornal Meio-Dia (Abr/1935-Ago/1936); foi editor e diretor do semanário agrícola Vida Alentejana (Set-1934-Abr/1935) e das revistas Portugal Maior e Raça. Em 1924, decidiu partir para Africa e visitou S. Tomé, Angola, Moçambique e o Rand. As suas impressões de viagem foram reunidas em livro, «Terras de África», prefaciado por Ernesto de Vasconcelos e Freire de Andrade. Publicou outras obras como: «Portugal no Brasil»; «A Alemanha perante a Europa»; «A Bélgica Heróica»; «A Proa de Sagres» (nas BLX c/ Cota RP/LM 235); «Cartilha Colonial (nas BLX c/ Cota RP/LU 343); História da Colonização dos Portugueses na América do Sul; «Album Alentejano»; «Memórias»; «Roteiro Turístico de Leiria» e monografias de diversos concelhos.
