This copy has never been opened, and is still in its sealed original white card envelope, with an enclosed compliment slip from "Arthur Guinness Son & Co.

One of the celebrated booklets produced annually by Guinness as gifts to the medical profession at Christmas (although, interestingly, the target audience is nowhere acknowledged). Dating from the era when Guinness's stout was regarded as a prescribable medication, most notably for pregnant women and new mothers. Highly collectable, largely due to the eminence of the illustrators, in this case John Nash. An excellent copy, with the illustrated compliments card. Fine.
