Dyl, ainsi que le titre typographié avec impression or, pour le second plat d'une vignette imprimée noir, blanc, rouge et or, avec la devise de la maison d'édition "On se lasse de tout excepté de connaître". 15 pointes sèches hors-texte aquarellées au pochoir et 166 bandeaux, culs-de-lampes et ornements au trait tirés en bistre. Excellent état du volume, à l'état de parution. Splendide édition de bibliophilie typique de l'Art Déco. Tirage à 500 exemplaires. Celui-ci, un des 384 exemplaires sur Annam. Le détail du tirage est le suivant : 16 exemplaires de tête sur Japon Impérial avec une planche libre et une suite sur Chine des cuivres avec remarque et des ornements, et 384 ex. sur Annam. Les exemplaires sur Japon comprenant chacun un dessin original. Le coloris des cuivres est l'oeuvre de Tabary, Le Rat étant pressier. La typographie est de R. Coulouma, maître imprimeur, à Argenteuil, H. Barthélémy, directeur. Le volume a été mis dans le commerce à Paris, le 15 mai 1926, 9, Galerie de la Madeleine. Superbe et abondante illustration typique de la période Art Déco, par l'un des maîtres du genre. Loin des fonflons hyper-médiatiques des néanmoins lumineuses et superbes productions d'un François-Louis Schmied, voici un non moins superbe livre illustré dans le plus pur Art Décoratif 1925, à savourer sans modération à chaque page. Un livre qui doit compter pour cette période du beau livre de bibliophilie illustré Art Déco. Yan Bernard Dyl, né en 1887, arrêté en 1943 par l'occupant pour fait de résistance, est décédé en 1944 dans le camp de Buchenwald. Il travailla en collaboration avec Henri de Régnier, Pierre Lou s, Pierre Mac Orlan et le modiste Paul Poiret. Dyl fut un illustrateur de livres mais également un publicitaire renommé. Son trait épuré et précis, totalement Art Déco, allié ici à un délicat aquarellage et gouachage au pochoir, font de ce livre une perle bibliophilique de cette période. Bel exemplaire, tel que paru.
