Obra original del historiador y profesor de instituto Jaime Pomar y Fuster (Palma 1868 - 1910). Escrito en su infancia este bello manuscrito está dedicado a su profesor José Luís Pons y Gallarza. Es de destacar que aun siendo un compedio de la historia de España hasta los Reyes Católicos, no aparezcan para nada los judios, probablemente debido a su condición de "chueta". Jaume Pomar se instaló en Maó, y allí estuvo durante unos años como catedrático de geografia e história, y uno de los fundadores del "Ateneu de Maó".
