It has also is chipped along the edges and has a few small tears and areas of paper loss. All corners of the flaps are clipped, but this appears to be the way jacket was made as the price, $6….00, on the bottom of the front flap remains. The black cloth covering of the boards is clean and without marks, and the silver lettering on the spine remains bright. There is a previous owner's name on the front free end paper and there is even age toning to edges and paper. On the rear pastedown a small tag with another book seller's information. The interior of the book is clean. A clear removable cover has been added to protect the dust jacket.

A subject the author was naturally born to write about: Men writing books together. "Sigmund Freud and Josef Breuer on hysteria, J. A. Symonds and Havelock Ellis on sexuality, a novel by Ford Madox Ford (and Joseph Conrad), 'The Waste Land' of T. S. Eliot (and Ezra Pound), even the 'Lyrical Ballads' of Wordsworth (and Coleridge).
