Der damalige musikalische Leiter, Dr. Walter Vale, hat Sätze aus Rachmaninows 'Liturgie des Hl. Johannes Chrysostomus' zu den Worten des Ordinariums aus dem 'Book of Common P…rayer' auf Englisch bearbeitet, mit Ausnahme des 'Kyrie', das die traditionellen griechischen Worte verwendet. Die Bearbeitung wurde von Rachmaninow abgesegnet, der auch eine Aufführung der 'Messe' im Jahr 1924 in All Saints besucht hat. Schwierigkeitsgrad: 3-4.

Voici ce qu'il dit laconiquement à un de ses amis à ce propos: «Cette course folle dans tous les sens est nécessaire pour effacer le thème.» Est-ce que Rachmaninov est parvenu à faire taire «La folia» Essayez-vous même!; Rachmaninows bekannter Klavierzyklus entstand 1931, zu einer Zeit also, als ihm seine großen Werke für Klavier solo und die Klavierkonzerte bereits großen Ruhm beschert hatten. Um ein 'Alterswerk' handelt es sich jedoch keineswegs.
