A splendid Cartoon/caricature portrait, mounted (matted) and ready to frame, printed in 1926 from an original drawing by Powys Evans, better known as Quiz. Mount size approx 12 x 8 inches, 30 x 20 cms. A fine study of Lord Hugh Cecil and the Archbishop of Canterbury, Randall Thomas Davidson at the National Assembly.

Bound in the publisher's purple cloth with gilt head to the front board, the spine rather faded with some similar fading towards the edges of the boards, and splitting to the spine ends, which are bumped. A few small spots and marks to the spine and boards. Front joint is splitting a touch at the head, and there are some abrasions to the rear board. Lacking front endpaper, frontispiece loose but present. Ownership inscription to the rear of the frontispiece, the front hinge tattered and strained, held by a cord only. Occasional spots, some light toning to the edges. Complete with forty-five monochrome plates. An uncommon copy of this esoteric exploration of Egyptian mythology.
