Soft cover. Condizione: Very Good. 1st Edition. Original paperback with typical "pulp fiction" art. A great example for Hank Janson fans. Janson was an invention of the English writer Stephen Frances. After World War 2, American pulp fiction was banned from export into the UK. Janson's very sexual and violent adventures filled the gap. During the early 1950s, millions of Janson thrillers were sold, 4,000 copies a day being not unusual. His career was cut short by an obscenity trial in 1954. Janson's publishers and distributors were jailed, and the author only escaped prosecution by moving to Spain. The trial even created the infamous puritanical Obscene Publications Act. Soft cover. Condizione: Very Good. Original paperback with typical "pulp fiction" art. A true pulp item, not designed for collecting, which means they were often simply thrown away and because of that they become rare and highly collectable. This is why a copy like this becomes a nice collectable pulp. A great example for Hank Janson fans, too. Janson was an invention of the English writer Stephen Frances. Soft cover. Condizione: Very Good. 1st Edition. Original paperback featuring typical "pulp fiction" art. This copy is a first printing, but it has some wear on the cover, which is typical of most copies. They were true pulp items, not designed for collecting, but that means they were often simply thrown away and because of that they have become rare and highly collectable. This is why a copy like this becomes a nice collectable pulp, and it is from the master of the genre Hank Janson. Hank Janson was an invention of the English writer Stephen Frances. Following the Second World War, American pulp fiction paperbacks were banned from export into the UK. Consequently, Janson's very sexual and violent fantasies filled a gap in the British market that became hugely profitable, with sales of each title often going at 4,000 copies a day. His career was cut short by an obscenity trial in 1954. The Janson publishers and distributors were jailed, although Frances escaped prosecution by fleeing to Spain. The trial created the Obscene Publications Act. Flight From Fear has a slight slant and a scrappy spine. Cover art is gorgeous and typical. First edition, first printing and increasingly rare. Soft cover. Condizione: Very Good. This is a rare British edition of the Masked Rider Western Number 1. It contains as a main story the Chuck Martin classic, 'Longhorn Rails'. This is the cleanest copy I've seen. Mild foxing here and there, but no marks, no writing, no bent over corners. The spine is very slightly less than perfect, but the whole magazine is still tight and secure. An excellent collectable of a scarce title. Soft cover. Condizione: Very Good. 1st Edition. An extremely rare British crime pulp, by the author of 'A Lady Screams' and many others. He established his own publishing company, and although his profession was not connected to writing he always poured his energy into his books. This has a remarkably clean cover and back, but the spine is damaged. However, it is structually clean and no pages are loose. This is a great rarity for all who collect British pulp fiction. Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. Condizione sovraccoperta: Very Good. Chester Gould (illustratore). 1st Edition. A true pulp, and the paper used in this book's production has mellowed down to demonstrate that fact. It is brown as a smokers lung. Great jacket, absolutely terrific endpapers, and a total essential joy for the Tracy fan. Rare to find a copy as good and complete as this one. Please note that near Fine takes into account that this is now an old hardback first edition of a book produced with cheap materials. But that patina is just an additional joy to the true collector. Numerous superb graphic illustrations from Gould. Nice and square, no lean, and an extremely attractive uncommon first printing of the world first edition hardback. A former owner's name is almost lost on the front end paper. The killer kills, the moll purrs, the straight man wins and this is as good as it gets. 0.0 0.0 0.0.
