Bookshop sticker to the back of the box from is Book People Bookstore (Texas), dated 2003. 100 x 140mm (folded). Illustrated chiefly in colour throughout. This artist's book by Brazilian artist Regina Vater is a 'Homage to John Cage: created in 1989, finalised and published 2003'. In an interview, Vater states that the accordion design is intended to create 'a shower of smiles', a contagion of smiles and these specific smiles evince the artist's continued interest in indigenous traditions. From 1985 to 2012, she was based in Texas. In 2012, she returned to Brazil. Condition: Sold complete with original box, however, the plastic coating of the box has caused shrinkage over time, and the publication no longer fits inside comfortably. Some minor wear to edges of publication, otherwise a clean copy.…
