This will be another of them: Paper 678- "Permafrost and Related Engineering Problems in Alaska", by Oscar J. Ferrians, Jr., Reuben Kachadoorian & Gordon W. Greene. This book offers an interesting description of the issues and problems associated with permafrost in planning activities in Alaska. I can remember myself; I once volunteered on a trail crew rehabing a cabin in the Prince William Sound area and was given the task of digging the hole for the new outhouse. It was extra hard because of the permafrost. It was published by the United States Government Printing Office in Washington, D.C. dated 1969. Please see the photos of the Table of Contents which also lists the illustrations-- plates, figures and tables. Condition: This hard cover book is in near fine condition.
