The use of India paper makes it possible for each volume to have many hundreds of pages, and reproduce the diaries in a convenient form for readers. The text is very good throughout - bright and clean with only occasional light usage mark or page crease. Some finger marks to text block edges and with gilt top edge. Volume I with tissue guarded portrait frontispiece in lovely condition. Text in English. Vols.
