Rider Haggard.In the original cloth bindings.This set includes the following:'The Way of the Spirit' (1906) - The plot of this work follows a man name…d Rupert Ullershaw, who faces the consequences of being in a love affair with the wife of his much older cousin, Lord Devene. With eight pages of publisher's advertisements to the rear.'Fair Margaret' (1907) - Set during the reign of Henry VII, this story centres around the abduction of the titular heroine and her adventures in Spain, including a meeting with King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella of Spain. With a frontispiece and seven double-sided monochrome plates. Collated, complete. In the original navy cloth bindings. Externally, with a horizontal tear to the head of the spine to 'Fair Margaret'. Slight rubbing and bumping to the extremities of 'Way of the Spirit'. The odd mark to the boards and a minor damp spot to the front board of 'Fair Margaret'. Minor fading to the spines. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are slightly age-toned, with scattered spotting throughout. Good. J. R. Skelton (illustratore). book.
