Inhalt: Die deutsche Plastik der späten Gotik blühte in Süddeutschland, besonders im Maingebiet am reichsten aus.… Tilmann Riemenschneider gestorben am 7. 7. 1531 in Würzburg war einer der bedeutendsten Bildhauer und Bildschnitzer der deutschen Spätgotik. Zustand: Einband mit kleineren Gebrauchsspuren, Rücken nachgedunkelt, Deckel leicht berieben, Ecken und Kanten etwas bestoßen. Innen: Buchschnitt etwas angestaubt und Vorsätze leicht gebräunt, sonst sauber und tadellos erhalten. (Weiteres gleichwertiges Exemplar vorhanden.) Sprache: Deutsch Gewicht in Gramm: 550 Kl.8°(Klein- Oktav- Format bis 18,5cm.) Grisaille- brauner Original- Papp- Einband mit gotischem Rankenwerk illustriert, sowie aufgedrucktem Rückenschildchen und beigebraun umrandeten Vorderdeckel- Etikett, schwarz beschriftet. Überzugspapier 137, nach Jenne. Erstausgabe, 1. Auflage, das 1. bis 50. Tausend, gedruckt in der Spamerschen Buchdruckerei zu Leipzig, mit den photographischen Aufnahmen, die im Auftrag des Insel- Verlages von Karl Gröber und Werner Meyer angefertigt wurden, sowie ein Bildverzeichnis am Schluss des Buches, siehe Herbert Kästner: Seite 118 der neuen Insel- Bücherei- Bibliographie 1912 bis 2012, insgesamt 11 Auflagen.
