Auf das Schröder Huis nehmen mehrere Architekturhistoriker Bezug. 1956 schrieb der Holländer Jaffé: "alle Zielsetzungen des Stijl sind in ihm verwirklicht und zwar derart, dass es nicht nur ein Monument für den Stijl wurde, sondern sogar ein Monument der Architektur jener Zeit"; 1960 nennt der Engländer Reyner Banham es "die einzige elementaristische Struktur, die in permanenter Form gebaut wurde". - Die Quadratblätter sind eine Serie von Experimenten in gedruckter Form, die auf dem gebiet der graphischen Gestaltung, der bildenden Kunst, Literatur, Architektur und Musik erscheinen.
