Pamphlet. Machu Picchu by a local entrepreneur: 48p., vignette decorations in a running text, softbound, an upright stapled booklet in 8x4 inch color pictorial wraps. Very edgeworn with rough tears to head and to tail of spinefold, covers have begun to pull away from text, exposing badly rusted staples, text unaffected and printed on alkaline paperstock. Pleasantly crude, a fair to good copy of this specific guide by a Peruvian who has "many years of work in tourism." He includes a page-long bibliography.…

A cheaply produced tourist guide, likely issued around 1950, around the time of the opening of direct train service from Cusco that made the site more accessible to visitors.
