Brown Boards. Condizione: Very Good Minus. No Jacket. 1st Edition. 241pp. A scarce copy of this biography of a life largely spent in Kenya. Includes an ALS by the author's wife Kit Robanthan. Bound in brown boards with gilt embossed lettering to the front board and spine. The head of the spine is bumped and several corners lightly or slightly bumped. Light bump also to the head of the front board. The text is supported with several b/w photographic illustrations. There are a few soil specks to the front board and slight foxing to the end papers. Ink gift inscription to the front paste down, taking up 1/3 of the page. There is a light stain to the top corner of the book with tide mark, inlcuding a tide mark to the top corner of the first three page leaves and slightly to the associated fore edges. The textblock is otherwise clean and tight. A very good tight copy.
