Robert Peter Tristram Coffin (March 18, 1892 January 20, 1955) was an American poet, educator, writer, editor and literary critic. Awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry in 1936, for Strange Holiness (1935). His poem Crystal Moment is still well regarded; it features eye-to-eye contact with a buck as it is pursued by a hunting pack. Generally Coffin was a regional writer whose works appeared Yankee, Ladies Home Journal, Amercan Cookery, Good Housekeeping, and their ilk.
