Aggiungi al carrelloHardcover. Condizione: Good. No Jacket. Consists of a bringing together of documents and personal memories, previously published in part in the Revue des Deux Mondes - following a trip to the Far East in 1859; which apparently prompted further trips to Japan in 1861 and 1862. 15 chapters, commencing in Nagasacki (sic) and finishing in the author's departure from Yokohoma. Half-bound leather book styling (boards in fact seem to be all leather). Some edgewear especially in the corners and also at the head and tail of the spine. Marble book edges and endpapers (image). Internally - marbled endpapers: at the front, some of the hinge binding material is revealed as the pastedown and book block are very slightly separated (image). The pages are obviously tanned throughout - especially the preliminary and final ones; where there is also some clear 0foxing. pp. 315. Please note that there may be a rear endpaper missing - impossible to be definitive - but see relevant image. Please note that, depending on destination, we may request a payment to cover any extra shipping & postage charges. Proceeds to Amnesty International. Abe2632.…
