Atmosphärische Dichte, aber auch Spontaneität und Situationskomik zeichnen die Fotografien aus, die für einen kurzen Augenblick die Zeit der legendären Silberpfeile in die Gegenwart zurückholen. Zum FotografenZoltán Glass (Budapest 1902-1981 Roquebrune). Nach Jahren in Ungarn als Maler und Karikaturist, ab 1925 in Berlin als Bild- und Kunstredakteur tätig. Dort Beginn der eigenen fotografischen Arbeit. 1930 Gründung der Agenturen Reclaphot (Reklamefotografie) und Autophot (Automobilfotografie). 1936 Emigration nach London. Bei Kriegsbeginn Aushändigung seiner Kamera an die englische Regierung. 1948 mit englischer Einbürgerung Rückkehr zur Fotografie. Überwiegend Werbe- und Magazinfotografie, die ihn über England hinaus bekannt macht. 1962 Übersiedlung nach Roquebrune, Südfrankreich.»Dieses Buch ist wieder einmal ein Beweis wie ungerecht Fotogeschichte geschrieben wird. Der Name dieses Fotografen müsste eigentlich zu den bekanntesten gehören.« Designes Digest Speed and Spirit features a selection of more than 100 race and car pictures photographed by Zoltan Glass, most of them never previously published.
