Otherwise unmarked.Bruce Beasley (b. 1939, Los Angeles; based in Oakland, California) is an American sculptor active since the early 1960s, known for monumental geometric work in bronze, steel, and aluminum. His assemblage "Chorus" was acquired by the Museum of Modern Art in 1962, at the time making him the youngest artist in MoMA's permanent collection; his work is now held by the Guggenheim, LACMA, SFMOMA, and roughly forty other museums in the United States and abroad.Exhibition catalogue published by Pangolin London for "Bruce Beasley," the gallery's solo show of the artist's sculpture held 28 June through 25 August 2012 at Kings Place.
