El objetivo de este trabajo es en primer lugar exponer de forma clara y amena en qué consiste la diferencia entre el español y otras lenguas, independientemente de si están emparentadas etimológicamente o no. En segundo lugar, el trabajo pretende abordar la cuestión del por qué los aprendices de una lengua extranjera siguen cometiendo los mismos errores sistemáticos en las diferentes lenguas extranjeras que van adquiriendo debido a interferencias de su propia lengua materna. Desde la perspectiva del profesor de E/LE y en general de otros idiomas extranjeros, este libro puede resultar de gran ayuda como herramienta didáctica dado que muestra numerosos ejemplos concretos acerca de las diferencias entre el español y otras lenguas. Cabe añadir que con estos ejemplos al lector le puede ayudar a entender cómo dependiendo de la lengua un mismo mensaje puede verse modificado. Tener presente esta perspectiva también puede llegar a ser muy útil para el aprendiz de cualquier lengua extranjera.
