The poems were selected and edited by the undergraduates Christopher Saltmarshe, John Davenport and Basil Wright.Among the poems are two contributions from Julian Bell (1908-1937), six contributions from William Empson (1906-1984), and 'October' by John Lehmann (1907-1987). In the original boards. Externally, generally smart but somewhat sunned, more so to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean with the odd spot, more so to the first and last few pages. Small previous owner's ink inscription to the front free end paper and to five pages in the text.
