Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book offers a unique glimpse into the early life of Prussian Prince and German Emperor Frederick III, as experienced by his mathematics tutor, Schellbach. The author's recollections provide an intimate portrayal of the prince's character, education, and his relationship with his family, particularly his close bond with his mother, Empress Augusta. Through Schellbach's eyes, readers witness the prince's intellectual development, his keen interest in science and the arts, and his unwavering commitment to his military duties. The book also explores the social and political climate of Prussia during the mid-19th century, providing context for the prince's upbringing and the challenges he faced as heir to the throne. Schellbach's vivid account not only sheds light on the personal life of a pivotal historical figure but also offers valuable insights into the complexities of the Prussian monarchy and the transformation of Germany during this period.
