Hardcover. Condizione: VG. Color illustrated boards with black lettering and yellow spine. 144 pp. Mainly color illustrations. "A major retrospective of one of Canada's most widely recognized contemporary artists. Over the past 25 years, Vancouver-based artist Ken Lum has developed a large body of work that includes painting, sculpture, performance and photography. He has exhibited throughout North America, Europe and Asia, and his awards include a Hnatyshyn Foundation Visual Arts Award. This richly illustrated volume is the first full-length book devoted to Ken Lum's work in more than nine years. In this time, his work has shifted to large permanent public installations, among them his fourth permanent public installation opening in 2010 in the Netherlands. Ken Lum accompanies a large-scale exhibition organized by the Vancouver Art Gallery that celebrates Lum's entire career and showcases aspects of his work--such as the mazes created for Documenta 11 and the Istanbul Biennal--that have never been seen before in North America."--Publisher's website.

Z : 140 Seiten/pages, 70 Farbabbildungen/illustrations in color / 2 posters / vinyl record. - Situated at the interaction of art, architecture, music, mathematics, cosmology and science, Matthew Ritchie s The Morning Line is a 33-foot high sound pavilion, constructed in aluminum and conceived in part as a successor to Edgard Varèse and Le Corbusier s pavilion for the 1958 World s Fair, and Fritz Bornemann s Expo 70 Pavilion. Designed in collaboration with New York-based architects Aranda Lasch, the Arup Advanced Geometry Unit and the Music Research Centre of York University, the structure was inspired by the cosmological theories of Paul Steinhardt and Neil Turok, and offered a sonic environment in which newly commissioned works by well-known musicians were performed. This survey of the project includes a book containing Todd Eberle s photographs of the structure, a poster, a newspaper and a red vinyl LP with music by contemporary electronica musicians such as Alexej Borisov, Tommi Grönlund, Petteri Nisunen, Christian Fennesz, Carsten Nicolai, Zsolt Olejnik, Finnbogi Petursson, Franz Pomassl, Terre Thaemlitz and Zavoloka.

Aggiungi al carrelloSoftcover. Condizione: Gut bis sehr gut. 1. Auflage.
