Danach war er an diversen in- und ausländischen Bühnen, u.a. in Tallin (Reval) und am Irving Palace Theatre in New York zu sehen. Um 1908 ließ er sich i…n Berlin nieder und spielte auch am Berliner Theater unter Max Reinhardt. 1912 gründete er eine eigene Filmgesellschaft und war erstmals auf der Leinwand zu sehen. 1913 ging er nach Wien und spielte bis 1919 am Burgtheater. Nach weiteren Filmarbeiten während des Ersten Weltkrieges war er vor seinem frühen Tod zuletzt Direktor und Oberspielleiter des Wiener Renaissance-Theater. Er war ein Mann von anspruchsvollem Lebensstil und Morphinist. In auswegloser finanzieller Situation, beruflich wie gesundheitlich am Ende, nahm er sich 1921 zusammen mit seiner Familie das Leben. Der Hamburger Photograph R. Dührkoop (1848-1918) war zunächst bei der Eisenbahn und als Kaufmann tätig, bevor er sich in den 1870er-Jahren als Amateur für die Photographie zu interessieren begann und sich autodidaktisch ausbildete. 1882 beantragte er eine gewerbliche Photographenlizenz und eröffnete 1883 er sein erstes Atelier. Bald war er so erfolgreich, daß er seine Tochter Minya (spätere verh. Diez) mitbeschäftigte und ihr später, nachdem er in Berlin ein weiteres Studio eröffnet hatte, die Führung des Hamburger Ateliers überließ. Seine Mitgliedschaft im Deutschen Photographen-Verein und Beiträge in Fachzeitschriften brachten kollegiale Anerkennung. Zunächst stellte er in traditioneller Weise Carte-de-visite-Portraits her, wandte sich aber bald der Kunstphotographie zu und begann als Portraitist völlig neue Wege zu gehen, die maßgeblich durch die Kunstphotographen um Alfred Lichtwark und Ernst Juhl beeinflusst wurden. Er war bald auch international bekannt und Mitglied ausländischer Photographenvereinigungen wie der Royal Photographic Society in London oder des berühmten "Linked Ring". Nach seinem Tod führte seine Tochter die Ateliers bis zu ihrem Tod 1929 weiter. Sprache: de.

Walden debütierte 1896 in Karlsruhe und spielte dann ab 1897 am Residenztheater in Berlin. Danach war er an diversen…in- und ausländischen Bühnen, u.a. in Tallin (Reval) und am Irving Palace Theatre in New York zu sehen. Um 1908 ließ er sich in Berlin nieder und spielte auch am Berliner Theater unter Max Reinhardt. 1912 gründete er eine eigene Filmgesellschaft und war erstmals auf der Leinwand zu sehen. 1913 ging er nach Wien und spielte bis 1919 am Burgtheater. Nach weiteren Filmarbeiten während des Ersten Weltkrieges war er vor seinem frühen Tod zuletzt Direktor und Oberspielleiter des Wiener Renaissance-Theater. Er war ein Mann von anspruchsvollem Lebensstil und Morphinist. In auswegloser finanzieller Situation, beruflich wie gesundheitlich am Ende, nahm er sich 1921 zusammen mit seiner Familie das Leben. Madame d'Ora (eig. Dora Ph. Kallmus 1881-1963) eröffnete nach ihrer Photographenausbildung durch Nicola Perscheid 1907 zusammen mit Arthur Benda ein Atelier in Wien. Das Studio war mit seinen Portraitaufnahmen der Wiener Künstler- und Intellektuellenszene bald sehr berühmt. Sie war dann mit zunehmendem internationalem Erfolg auch als Modephotographin tätig und unterhielt zudem enge Kontakte zur Wiener Werkstätte. Seit 1925 betrieb sie ein zweites Atelier in Paris, zog 1927 dorthin und übergab ihr Wiener Atelier an Benda, der es alleine weiterführte. Dort baute sie ihren internationalen Ruf weiter aus, arbeitete für große Modehäuser wie Chanel, Rochas u.a., und gilt heute als eine der bedeutendsten österreichischen Photographinnen des 20. Jahrhunderts. Als Jüdin mußte sie nach der deutschen Besetzung von Paris ihr Atelier aufgeben. Sie versteckte sich im unbesetzten Südfrankreich und überlebte, während ihre Schwester, mit der sie in Paris zusammenlebte, und andere Verwandte ermordet wurden. Nach dem Krieg arbeitete sie weiter als Fashionphotographin, in krassem Gegensatz dazu entstand aber auch ihre berühmte Serie von Bildern aus den Pariser Schlachthöfen. 1959 verlor sie bei einem Autounfall ihr Gedächtnis. Der Hamburger Photograph R. Dührkoop (1848-1918) war zunächst bei der Eisenbahn und als Kaufmann tätig, bevor er sich in den 1870er-Jahren als Amateur für die Photographie zu interessieren begann und sich autodidaktisch ausbildete. 1882 beantragte er eine gewerbliche Photographenlizenz und eröffnete 1883 er sein erstes Atelier. Bald war er so erfolgreich, daß er seine Tochter Minya (spätere verh. Diez) mitbeschäftigte und ihr später, nachdem er in Berlin ein weiteres Studio eröffnet hatte, die Führung des Hamburger Ateliers überließ. Seine Mitgliedschaft im Deutschen Photographen-Verein und Beiträge in Fachzeitschriften brachten kollegiale Anerkennung. Zunächst stellte er in traditioneller Weise Carte-de-visite-Portraits her, wandte sich aber bald der Kunstphotographie zu und begann als Portraitist völlig neue Wege zu gehen, die maßgeblich durch die Kunstphotographen um Alfred Lichtwark und Ernst Juhl beeinflusst wurden. Er war bald auch international bekannt und Mitglied ausländischer Photographenvereinigungen wie der Royal Photographic Society in London oder des berühmten "Linked Ring". Nach seinem Tod führte seine Tochter die Ateliers bis zu ihrem Tod 1929 weiter. Über die beiden Berliner Photographen Becker und Maass ist wenig bekannt. Beide betrieben Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts eigene Ateliers in Berlin, bevor sie 1902 dort ein gemeinsames Studio gründeten.
