Douglas's cousin Lord Alfred Douglas, or 'Bosie', was a close friend of the writer Oscar Wilde. In 1895, he stood surety for the bail of Oscar Wilde. /Sibyl Montgomery, Marchioness of Queensberry (1845 -1935) had her portrait painted in her 61st year by Sholto Johnstone Douglas/Carlos Schwabe (1866Ð1926) was a Swiss Symbolist painter and printmaker.
