Aggiungi al carrellohardcover. Condizione: Good. Our good condition books are generally good for reading but not for gifting or collecting. They could have imperfections such as creasing, fanning, inscriptions, margin notes, yellowing, staining on edge or cover or pages, bumps, scuffs, etc etc (sometimes multiple of these). It's a wide category that encompasses anything that isn't almost-new down to anything that is slightly better than poor. We would NOT recommend gifting Good books - these should be considered reading copies. Our books are dispatched from a Yorkshire former cotton mill. We list via barcode/ISBN so please note that the images are stock images and may not be the exact copy you receive, furthermore the details about edition and year might not be accurate as many publishers reuse the same ISBN for multiple editions and as we simply scan a barcode or enter an ISBN we do not check the validity of the edition data when listing. If you're looking for an exact edition please don't order (at least not without checking with us first, although we don't always have time to check). We aim to dispatch prompty, the service used will depend on order value and book size. We can ship to most countries, see our shipping policies. Payment is via Abe only.

Aggiungi al carrelloHardcover. Condizione: Very Good. Dust jacket. Very slight tanning. First published 1948 in German. Author critiques Marx, suggesting he wasa less of a humanitarian and less a lover of freedom than might otherwise appear from the adulation some have expressed for his ideas, and that personal ambition motivated him (like a certain US President-elect?). Certainly, his critics are on the right of the political spectrum. Is the truth somewhere in between? 382 pages. Quoted postage for UK 2nd class. Overseas at least £11.65.

Soft cover. Condizione: Good. Leopold Schwarzschild, Die tscherchische Krise , an issue dedicated to the Czechoslovakia issue in Das Neue Tage-Buch, Paris-Amsterdam, edited by Leopold Schwarzschild. 7th year, 17 September 1938, the entire 20pp issue. Original wrappers. Good. $20 Reminder: the Munich Agreement was signed on Sept 29, 1938; the invasion of the Seudetenland began October 8, 1938. Good condition. __+__ The Neue-Tage Buch was a continuation of the Tage-Buch, which was a liberal weekly political/social journal founded in 1920 by Stefan Gorssmann. Leopold Schwarzschild became co-editor in 1922. When forced to leave in 1933 (the WWI veteran had all of his possessions stolen by the Nazis), Schwarzschild became general editor of the Neue-Tage Buch from exile in Paris, where the weekly established itself as a leading exile and anti-Nazi journal. (That said Schwarzschild came under fire from some German groups for his critical examination of Stalin s vast and murderous Show trials of the Great Purge 1936-1938 many liberal/left organizations did not or would not understand what was happening in the USSR until years later.) Schwarzschild left Paris for the U.S. in 1940 which was also the end of the magazine. All issues for this period were printed on newsprint, which became predictably browned and somewhat brittle. Still almost all issues are at least in GOOD condition. All have the rubber stamp of the previous owner (a library in Baltimore, Maryland) on the front cover.
