Gilt top cut edge; the fore and tail edges are slightly tanned and foxed. Very good text block, tightly bound, straight and very lightly tanned and with some foxing on some pages. With three colour plates (including frontispiece) with tissue guards and many b/w plates in section to rear and b/w illustrations in the text. No dedications etc. Without jacket. Heavy.
